What is a multicapital strategy? How can you create a capital inventory that goes beyond financial resources?
Join us on November 18th to discover and map the wide range of capitals you have at your disposal: economic capital (money and assets), social capital (relationships), cultural capital (know-how from professional or personal experience) and symbolic capital (reputation as an individual or member of a group). Understanding all four, and how they work together, can significantly increase the impact you create.
Maria Ahlström-Bondestam, a fifth-generation member of Finland’s Ahlström industrial family and co-founder of the Eva Ahlström Foundation, will share what a multicapital strategy looks like in practice. Among other initiatives, her first strategic investment, a €200,000 water and sanitation pilot in India with UNICEF, unlocked $102 million from the Indian government and reached 10 million children instead of the originally planned 40,000.
In this dinner-workshop, Maria will share her multicapital journey and what it taught her about using all her forms of capital for impact. CSP will introduce the multicapital strategy framework from our Investor’s Guide to Multicapital Strategies and guide you through creating your own capital inventory: identifying what you have accumulated and can deploy, and deciding what to use for impact. The conversation will continue over dinner with Maria and fellow participants.
Attendance is by invitation only.
