CSP and The ImPact examine the distinctive journeys of eight multi-generational Asian families who are transforming how they deploy capital for positive change. We study how these families align values, navigate family dynamics, and develop intentional investment approaches across their businesses, family offices, and philanthropy that integrate financial goals with social and environmental outcomes.

Through in-depth interviews with family principals and their executives, the report distills practical insights around The ImPact's Ten Key Actions framework, showing how families iterate through goal-setting, strategy development, and accountability measures. Whether transforming steel manufacturing operations for decarbonization, developing happiness-focused investment frameworks, or creating blended finance structures, these families demonstrate that impact investing is deeply personal yet universally actionable.

"Business families have agency over a whole portfolio of assets, from operating businesses, to investment portfolios, to philanthropic funds — not to mention non-financial assets like social and political capital. Being clear about how we can mobilize these with purpose, especially toward building a better world, is an essential opportunity," said Sumitra Aswani, Board Director of Ishk Tolaram Foundation.
