Justina Lai
Impact Investing Coach and Chief Impact Officer, Laird Norton Wetherby
Justina is one of the most experienced impact investing practitioners in the field, with over 20 years in the investment industry and more than 15 focused on impact.
She currently serves as Chief Impact Officer and Employee Owner at Laird Norton Wetherby (LNW), where she leads the firm’s impact investing strategy. Previously, Justina developed and implemented global impact investment strategies at the Rockefeller Foundation and Sonen Capital, and held positions with Legacy Venture (a venture capital fund-of-funds) and Rwanda Ventures (a sustainable agriculture business incubator).
She is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Investment Committee Chair, and PRI Committee Chair of the San Francisco Foundation, one of the nation’s largest community foundations. She is also a Board Member and Investment Committee Chair of ICA, a CDFI creating good jobs and community wealth by investing in overlooked entrepreneurs. Justina serves as Professional Faculty at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Justina holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Finance and International Business, summa cum laude, from NYU.
