“We are community builders dedicated to creating and fostering community empowerment, sustainability and growth through the development of employment, economic and educational opportunities in blighted communities. We address the barriers that perpetuate the underutilized, underemployed, unemployed, skilled and underskilled community. As individuals grow and become self sufficient, so will the families and neighborhoods, thus building a stronger and healthier country one community at a time.”

       NACA represents local craftsmen associations throughout the Southwestern United States. Those local craftsmen organizations form partnerships with entities and stakeholders in their communities in order to work toward economic growth and self-sufficiency.

       NACA develops and implements economic strategies that provide quality education, employment and economic opportunities that are inclusive of the entire community. One way NACA has accomplished this is by building on the strength of its members.   By creating opportunities for joint ventures, as well as relationships between prime contractors, corporations, public entities and small businesses; NACA opens the doors of opportunity for its members to reach their highest potential. In addition, NACA creates opportunities for discount material purchases, access to interim financing, access to bonding, and educational seminars.  By being a national advocate for small business issues, NACA ensures a level playing field for all businesses. 

       Mr. Ralph Velasquez, C.E.O of P5 Management Group Inc. founded NACA and the San Antonio Craftsmen Association (SACA)—both branches of P5.  Mr. Velasquez is the brother of the late Willie C. Velasquez, founder of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP), an initiative which sought to empower Latinos and other minorities by increasing their participation in the American Democratic process. Willie’s dream was to empower our people politically and economically so as to insure a higher standard of living and to enhance the dignity of life for all people.  Today, Mr. Ralph Velasquez carries these same guiding principles in every facet of his business and personal life fully dedicated to upholding the mission statement above.
